Origin/Brief History of the Department

The office of the Infrastructure was established in 1999, the Office of Infrastructure Services (IS) plays a vital role in managing and maintaining the essential infrastructural needs of Osmania University and its constituent colleges.

Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Tender Processing:

The Director (Infrastructure) office oversees e-procurements, GeM procurements, and offline procurements, ensuring a smooth and transparent tendering process. It is also responsible for preparing minutes of related meetings.

Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs):

The office manages AMCs related to infrastructure services within its scope.

Communication Infrastructure:

It ensures the maintenance of telephone intercom connectivity across all OU campus colleges, departments, and centers.

Tagore Auditorium Management:

The Director (Infrastructure) office is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Tagore Auditorium.

OU Command Control Center & CCTV Surveillance:

The Command Control Center, which records and monitors live CCTV surveillance data across the university campus, is managed by this office. Additionally, it oversees the installation of new CCTV systems.

Support for Constituent Colleges:

Any procurement requirements from OU constituent colleges are also handled by the Infrastructure office.
