Mission

To provide comprehensive support services, resources, and accommodations to students with disabilities, promoting equal access to education and fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion

Objectives
  • Provide accessible and inclusive learning environments for students with disabilities.
  • Offer comprehensive support services, including accommodations, counselling, and mentoring.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion on the campus
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to promote accessibility and inclusion.
  • Provide resources and training for students, faculty, and staff on disability awareness and inclusion.
Services
  • Providing accommodations such as extended time on exams, note-taking services, and assistive technology.
  • Offering counselling services to support students with disabilities in their academic and personal pursuits.
  • Pairing students with disabilities with trained mentors for guidance and support
  • Providing access to assistive technology, such as screen readers and braille displays.
  • Coordinating modifications to physical spaces and digital resources to ensure accessibility.
  • Providing training and resources on disability awareness and inclusion for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Assisting students with disabilities in accessing scholarship and financial aid opportunities.
Resources
  • A lab with assistive technology, such as screen readers and braille displays.
  • A collection of resources, including books, articles, and online resources, on disability-related topics.
  • Providing accessible transportation options for students with disabilities.

Location

The Centre for Disabilities Resources is located within the Osmania University campus, specifically in the Arts College premises. It is situated next to the Osmania University Gazetted Officers Co-Op Society Bank.
