Director Message:

BC Cell in Osmania University for the benefit of BC students, research scholars and employees (both teaching and non- teaching ). This particular Cell will monitor the reservations, welfare measures and address the grievances of the students, research scholars and staff of the Osmania University Campus Colleges, Constituent and Affiliated Colleges.

OBJECTIVES OF THE B.C.CELL

• The main objective of the B.C. Cell is to promote academic excellence, scientific temper and competitive spirit among the B.C. students and research scholars in Osmania University.
• To promote social justice and equity; and to protect legitimate rights of the B.C. students, research scholars, teaching and non-teaching staff.

Activities:

• Mahatma Jotiba Phule death anniversary on 28th November 2022 at 11.30 A.M in the Senate Hall, Administration Building, OU Campus.
• BC Cell of Osmania University in collaboration with Minorities, SC / ST Cell and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Research Centre has organised Mahatma Jyotirao Phule 196th Birth Anniversary (11.04.2022)
• 196th Mahatma Jyotirao Phule birth anniversary Celebrations (11th April, 2022 (Monday) poster and logo released by Prof.B.Reddya Naik, OSD to Vice-Chancellor, Osmania University @Osmania University today (09-04-2022) as part of *Mahaniyula Jayanthi Celebrations* at Osmania University.
• Celebrated Mahatma Jyothi Rao Phule 193rd Jayathi (27.04.2019)
• BC Cell team attended a meeting at Assembly hall of Telangana State Govt. to review the implementation of rule of reservations in admissions and recruitments along with welfare measures of Backward Classes in the Universities.and also OU team consisting of B.C. Cell Director, Registrar O.U., OSD, Joint Registrar, Principal, University college of Science; Principal, University college of Arts & Social Sciences and some more University officials visited the Secretariat to review the BC welfare activities in the University and contributions made by the staff towards research activities covering BC welfare (29.01.2019)
• Prof. KothapalliJayashankar's Jayanthi was organized in the B.C. Cell (06.08.2018)
• Attended a meeting at 11.30 a.m. in committee room of Assembly hall of Telangana State Govt.(09.07.2018)
