Dr. Chalamalla Venkateshwarlu is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Political Science, University College of Arts & Social Sciences(UCA&SS), Osmania University since 2012 and Director, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research Centre & BC, Cell Osmania University from 2022 till date. His areas of specialization are Indian Government and Politics, Comparative Politics, State Politics & Human Rights and have been into teaching, training and research. He has published 10 articles in peer reviewed with ISSN journals, 05 Books Published (Edited) with ISBN, Chapters Published in Books 11 and was involved in projects funded by UGC-SERO, and UGC, New Delhi. Research Projects carried out four, 3 Minor Research Projects Completed (CAS-Phase-I and CAS-Phase-II), Dept. of Political Science-UGC Sponsored Projects, He has completed 1Minor Research Project (MRP) –ROMRP-SERO-University Grants Commission (UGC), Hyderabad. Apart from academic activities, he has been awarded M.A, M.Phil and Ph.D (Political Science) at Osmania University, Hyderabad. And also earned, Master of Communication and Journalism (MCJ), PG Diploma in Human Rights (PGDHR). He has had a brilliant academic record, have qualified for UGC-NET, New Delhi. Awarded Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), NewDelhi.

He holds rich administrative experience having worked as the Head of Department of Political Science, Nizam College, Deputy Coordinator, Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS)-Phase –II at the Dept. ofPolitical Science of OU sponsored programme of UGC, New Delhi. He is also the Subject Coordinator (Political Science) at the Centre forDistance Education (CDE) at OU, and presently Board of StudiesChairman (BoS), Department of Political Science, Telangana University, Nizamabad. BoS committee member UG and PG Programs at the Dept. of Political Science, OU.Many Degree Colleges and Universities BoS Member and subject expert member. External Examiner/Paper Setter/ of Dept. of Political Science, Kakatiya University, Warangal, Mahatma Gandhi University Nalgonda, Telangana University, Nizamabad, Palamoor University, Mahabubnagar, Moulana Azad National Urdu University(MAANU), Hyderabad, Telangana State.

He has held the position of Assistant Director, UGC -HRDC (Human Recourse Development Centre), Osmania University, at OU (Academic Staff College), for 5 years 2017-2021

Executive Member (EC) of the Cooperative Credit Society of OU. He is also working as the Executive Editor for The Indian Journal of Social SciencesResearch (IJSSR), and Founder, Hyderabad Institute of Social Sciences (HISS). He is also on the editorial boards of many reputed journals of Political Science and International relations in India and abroad.

Research Guidance: M.Phil : Awarded 8-working-8--Ph.D :Awarded 5 and 10 Candidates are ongoing/working. He conducted 10 International and National Conferences, Workshops, Faculty Development Programmes. Organised several Refresher Course(RC)/Seminars/Workshops/Conferences/ Expert committee member CSTT, New Delhi. Many of his research papers have also been presented in national and international conferences and seminars. He participated in 20 International and National Seminars, Workshops, Conferences, Symposium, Trainings etc..on Political Science and interdisciplinary subjects and visited Colombo University, he presented a paper at the Department of International Relations, University of Colombo | Sri Lanka from July 3 – 4 in2014 on academic pursuits.
