Remembering Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his death anniversary. Jyotirao Govindrao Phule, also known as Mahatma Phule, was an activist, thinker, social reformer and writer from Maharashtra and was known for his efforts towards social reform, farmers rights, shudras, ati-shudras, women empowerment and education Father of the Indian Social Revolution.

Ambedkar Research Centre, and Mah Laqa Bhai Chanda Centre for Women Studies garlanded the portrait of Smt. Kranti Jyoti Savithribai Phule, on the eve of her 193rd Birth Anniversary* on 3rd Jan 2024 (Wednesday) at 10 AM@ Phule - Ambedkar Centre for Inclusive and Empowerment Studies.

Prof.D. Ravinder, Hon’ble Vice-chancellor, Osmania University, garlanded the portrait of Kranti Jyoti Savithribai Phule in the presence of Prof. P. Laxminarayana, Registrar, OU, Prof. B. Reddya Naik, OSD to VC, Prof. G. Mallesham, Dean, Development & UGC Affairs. OU and other dignitaries have graced the occasion.

As part of awareness programme on Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and KrantiJyoti Savithribai Phule, Women empowerment cell Govt. Degree College Medak In collaboration with Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research Centre, Osmania University Organized a one day work shop on Contribution of Kranthi Jyoti Savithribai Phule on Women Education (On the eve of Kranti Jyoti Savithribai Phule and Fathima Shaik birth anniversary) Under the presiding of Dr K. Hussain, Principal, GDC, Medak, at GDC Medak, TS on 09-01-2024.

In this connection two lectures were organised on Kranti Jyoti Savithribai Phule Legacy -Measures in the Contemporary Society by -Dr. Chalamalla Venkateshwarlu Director, MJPRC, OU, Understanding Mahatma Jyotiba Phule-Need of the Hour By Prof. Chinthapatla Srinivas Dept. of Physics, OU About 120 students and faculty actively participated.
