Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (Masters degree in Telugu Literature form Osmania Arts College, Osmania University)

He attained a Masters degree in Telugu Literature form Osmania Arts College, Osmania University, KCR started his career with the youth Congress Pary in Medak District, controlled by Sanjay Gandhi in the 1970's

Kcr joined the TDP in 1983. He worked as Minister of Drought & Relief in N.T Ramarao's Cabinet. In 1990, he worked as Transport Minister in Chandrababu Naidu's Caninet. He also served as the deputy speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly from 2000-2001.


On 27 April 2001, Rao resigned as Deputy Speaker and TDP MLA. He stated that the people of the region were being discriminated and believed that separate state is the only solution. In April 2001, he formed the Telangana Rashra Samithi (TRS) to campaign for Telangana statehood.
 

Bandaru Dattatreya (B.Sc. Educated at Osmania University)

Bandaru Dattatreya ( often called Dattanna, born 26 February 1947). He completed B.Sc from Osmania University and devoted his life to public service after that. He was the President of the United Andhra Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been elected as a member of parliament for 10th,12th,13th Lok Sabhas (1991-2004) from Secunderbad Lok Sabha constituency and was a Union Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayees's government. He was re-elected to 16th Lok Sabha form Secunderabad Constituency. He is a BJP National Vice-President and a Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) in charge of Labour and Employment.
 

Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao (Studied Law at Osmania University)

(Governor of Maharashtra)

Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao (born 1942) is the present Governor of Maharashtra. He took oath as the Governor on 30 August 2014. He was Union Minister of State for internal affairs in the Vajpayee-led BJP Govt government from 1999. He was elected to 12th and 13th Lok Sabha from Karimnagar in Telangana as BJP candidate.

 

He completed his schooling in Vemulawada, PUC in Hyderabad, B.Sc. in Nanded of Maharastra and later studied law at Osmania University.


 

Sudini Jaipal Reddy (M.A. (English), Bachelor of Journalism from Osmania University)

Sudini Jaipal Reddy (born 16 January 1942) is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India and was the Minister of Science and Technology. HE represents the Chevella constituency of Telangana and is a member of the Indian National Congress. He served as a Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting in IK Gujral cabinat in 1998. In 199 he returned to Indian National Congress after 21 years. In 2004 he was re-elected to 14th Lok Sabha from Miryalaguda Constituency and then he served as a Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Union Minister for Urban Development in United Progressive Alliance-1. In 2009 he was re-elected to teh 15th Lok Sabha from the Chevella Constituency and served as a Union Minister for Urban Development and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas. HE was the Union Minister for the Ministry of Earth Sciences and the Ministry of Science and Technology from 29 October 2012 to 18 May 2014.

 

Shankar rao Bhavrao Chavan (LL.B from Osmania University)

(Indian politician who served twice as Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1975 until 1977)

Sharnkar rao Bhavrao Chavan was an Indian politician who served twice as Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1975 until 1977 and from 13 March 1986 until 24 June 1988. He was Finance Minister of India from 1987 to 1990, and served as Home Minister of India in the Narasimha rao cabinet.


Chavan completed hi Bachelor of Arts form Madras University and LL.B from Osmania University. He started his career as an advocate. He initiated the Student's Movement and gave up practice of law during the 'Quit Court' Movement in the former Hyderabad State.

Shivraj Vishwanath (Degree in Science from Osmania)

Shivraj Vishwanth Patil (born 12 October 1935) is an Indian politician who has been Governor of the state of Punjab and Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh since 2010. Previously, he was the Speaker of the 11th Lok Sabha from 1991 to 1996 and served in Manmohan Singh's cabinet as Union Minister of Home Affairs from 2004 to 2008. He also served in the Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi cabinets as Minister of Defence during the 1980s.
 

He attended Osmania University, Hyderabad, earning a degree in Science and studied Law at Bombay University.

V. S Ramadevi (born 15 January 1934-17 April 2013) M.A, L.L.M was the Chief Election Commission of India from 26 November 1990 to 11 December 1990. She was the first woman to become Chief Election Commissioner of India. She was succeeded by T. N. Seshan.

 

Dharam Singh Narayan Singh (MA, LLB degrees from Osmania University)

Dharam Singh Narayan Singh (born 25 December 1936) is an Indian politician who was the 17th Chief Minister of Karnataka, a state in southern India. He was a Member of Karnataka State Assembly for seven consecutive times in a row which in itself is a world record & even a Member of Parliament representing Bidar in the 14th Lok Sabha.


Dharam Singh was born in Nelogi village of Jevargi taluk in Gulbarga District. He obatained his MA, LLB degrees from Osmania University, Hyderabad.

 

Punjala Shiv Shankar (LLB at Law College, Osmania University,)

Punjala Shiv Shankar (Born 10 August 1929) is an Indian politician. He was a very influential minister in Indira Gandhi's and Rajiv Gandhi's cabinets and is one of the most senior politicians in India. He has also served as the governor of Sikkim and Kerala.


He Studied B.A at Hindu College, Amritsar and LL.B at Law College, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

 

Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy (B.Com, LLB from Osmania University,)

Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy (born 13 September 1960 in Hyderabad) is an Indian Politician who served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. A four-time Member of the Legislative Assembly in Andhra Pradesh, he was a leader of the Indian National Congress party before resigning from it in February 2014 over the creation of Telangana State.


He did his schooling from Hyderabad Public School and intermediate from St. Josephs' Junior College, Hyderabad. He did his B.Com from Nizam College and L.L.B from University College of Law, Osmania University. He was the captain of the Hyderabad, India under-22 South zone Universities and Osmania University cricket team. He also attended Besant Theosphical High School in Chennai for some years.

Chilarapu Damodar Raja Narasimha (born 5 December 1958) is an Indian politician belonging to Indian National Congress, and the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Andole constituency and holds the portfolios of Higher education and Agriculture.

 

Kadiyam Shrihari (M.Sc from Osmania University,)

Kadiyam Shrihari is an Indian politician, Presently Member of Parliament from Warangal constituency from State of Telangana. He was Ex-MLA from Ghanpur (Station) Constituency and Ex-Minister in the cabinet of N.T. Rama RAo and N. Chandrababu Naidu. He was the Polit Bureau member of TDP, and the General Secretary of Telugu Desam Pary (TDP). He was the Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004 in Marketing, Social Welfare later Education and later Irrigation under the Cabinet of Nara Chandra Babu Naidu . He Joined TRS party and is its politburo member. He took oath as cabinet ministr in Telangana government on 25 January 2015 as a Deputy Chief Minister and also Education Minister.


Kadiyam Shrihari was born in parvathagiri, a village in the warangal district. He attended Zilla Parishat High School in Warangal and then was awarded a B.Sc from the Arts and Science College in the Same city. In 1975, he got an M.Sc from Osmania University, Hyderabad..

 

Etela Rajender (B.Sc from Osmania University,)

Etela Rajender is an Indian Politician belonging to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Party. He is an elected legislator to the Telangana Legislative Assembly from Huzurabad constituency. Presently working as Telangana Finance Minister in KCR cabinet from June 2014 to date.
 

Etela Rajender completed his education in B.Sc from Osmania University.
 

 

Kothpalli Jayashankar (B.Ed & Ph.D in Economics from Osmania University,)

Kothapalli Jayashankar popularly know as Professor Jayashankar (6 August 1934 -21 June 2011) was an Indian academic and Social Activist. He was the ideologue of Telangana Movement. He has been fighting for a separate state since 1952. He often stated that unequal distribution of rivers water was the root cause of separate Telangana movement. He was the former Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University and an activist in the Separate Telanagana Movement. Prof. Jayashankar Telanagana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) named in honor and memory of Professor Jayashankar, is the only Farm University of Telangana state which came into being in the event of the bifurcation from Acharya N.G Ranga Agricultural University.


He did his schooling in Hanumakonda, Warangal and his M.A in Economics at Banaras Hindu University, M.A in Economics at Aligarh University and Ph.D in Economics at Osmania University, and B.Ed at Osmania University.
