Prof. G. Ram Reddy 

(b. 4 December, 1929) obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Political Science degrees from Osmania University. He served as Chairman of Social Science Research Council from 1969-1974, Vice Chancellor of Osmania University from 1977-1982, Vice Chancellor of Andhra Pradesh Open University from 1982-1985, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Open University from 1985-1990 and Chairman of University Grants Commission from 1990-1995. He was instrumental in establishment of Open University system in India with establishment of Andhra Pradesh Open University and Indira Gandhi National Open University of which he was the founder Vice Chancellor.

Dr. C. H. Hanumantha Rao 

(b. 15May, 1929) obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Economics degrees from Osmania University. He served as Chairman of Centre for Economics and Social Studies. Recipient of the Padma Bhushan Award in 2004. He was also a member of Seventh and Eight Planning Commission and Finance Commission of India.

Prof. Kothapalli Jayashankar  

(b. 6 August, 1934 - d. 21 June, 2011) obtained his Bachelor of Education and Doctorate of Philosophy in Economics degrees from Osmania University. Professor K. Jayashankar, an ideologue of Telangana Movement, served as Vice Chancellor of Kakatiya University, Warangal.
 

Dr. Yaga Venugopal Reddy

(b. 17august, 1941) obtained his Doctorate of Philosophy in Economics degree from Osmania University. He is an Indian Administrative Service officer on 1964 batch and served as Governor of Reserve Bank of India from 2003-2008. Recipient of the Padma Vibhushan Award - Second Highest Civilian Award in 2010.
 

Ms. GeethaVardhan

(b. 30 September, 1951) obtained her Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic and Communication Engineeringfrom Osmania University. She is distinguished scientist known for her contributions in space communication and has served in many institutions of repute such as Electronics and Radar Development Establishment, National Remote Sensing Agency and Advanced Data Processing Research Institute. She is the first women scientist to Head the Advanced Data Processing Research Institute.
 

Dr. S. Chandrasekhar

(b. 9 March, 1964) obtained his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science in Chemistry and Doctorate of Philosophy in Chemistry degrees from Osmania University. He is currently the Director of the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. A renowned Chemist known being instrumental in synthesis of more than 500 new chemical entities with potential biological activities such as anticancer, anti-arthritic, antifungal and antidepressants. He has received several awards in recognition of his scientific contributions, and some notable are CSIR Technology Award, CSIR Young Scientist, CNR Rao National Prize for Chemical Research and FAPCCI award.
 

Dr. G. Narahari Sastry

obtained his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Osmania University. He is currently the Head of the Molecular Modelling Group at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad. A renowned Chemist known being instrumental in computational chemistry and computational biology. He has received the coveted Shanti SwarupBhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 2011. Besides this he has been honoured with Birla Scientist prize for chemistry, Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, Swarnajayanti Fellowship and National Bioscience Award.
