Description

A centrifuge is a device for separating particles from a solution according to their size shape, density, viscosity of the medium and rotor speed. Centrifugation is a separation process which uses the action of centrifugal force to promote accelerated settling of particles in a solid-liquid mixture. Two distinct major phases are formed in the vessel during centrifugation. The sediment and the centrifugate, which is the supernatant.

Working Principle

Fixed Angle rotor T- 8100 with Maximum speed of 100,000 rpm and Max RCF is 802,006 x g with a capacity of 8 x 6.5ml.

Fixed Angle rotor T-1250 with Maximum speed of 50,000 rpm and Max RCF is 301,030 x g with a capacity of 12 x 36ml.

Swinging Bucket Rotor TH- 660 with Max speed of 60,000 rpm, Max RCF is 488,580x g with a capacity of  6 x 4.4ml.

Delivers optimal RCFs in the shortest possible time.

Accel/Decel Profile : 10 Accel/11 Decel. 1,000 rpm to maximum speed in increments of 100 rpm

There are about 20 pre- set programs for different separations..

With its ergonomic design, low noise level and embedded UltraSecur technology, the Sorvall WX Ultra Centrifuge gives the Speed, Power, safety needed for efficient, high-throughput ultracentrifugation.

Ultra centrifuge is used in chemistry, biology and biochemistry for isolating and separating solids from liquids in a suspension. The solids can be insoluble compounds, biomolecules, cell organelles or whole cells.

The Preparative and Analytical centrifuge instrument find important uses in molecular biology, biochemistry and polymer science.

Analytical centrifuge finds its application in determining the mass, shape, and stiochiometry ratio of non covalent association of macromolecules.

Samples should be in liquid state for centrifugation.

Volume of sample required depends on the type of rotor selected for the separation.

Required centrifugational speed ( rpm), temperature, time duration is to be specified for centrifugation of the samples.
