Sanskrit Academy has successfully accomplished its task of publishing books, organizing various programmes to propagate Sanskrit, Sanskrit learning courses, skill demonstration programmes for various kinds of students, conducting seminars and workshops, organizing lectures by the eminent personalities on the multifaceted Sanskrit literature. The present group of employees with their dedication and commitment, have been contributing for the healthy growth of the Academy.
Sanskrit Academy organized “Porf. K. Kamala Memorial Lecture Programme” on 07.06.2013 at 5:00 pm at its premises. In this programme Prof. A. Ramulu, Dept. of Sanskrit, OU delivered a lecture on ‘Social conditions in Mahabharata’, while describing on the importance of Mahabharata, Lord Sri Krishna is a learned preacher who has given the society the human values, relations, Raja dharma, polity and the governance through the oration of Bhagavatgeetha to the world. In this programme Prof. E.Shiva Reddy, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University was kind enough to attend as the Chief Guest and Prof. T. Keshavanarayana, Dept. of Sanskrit, OU was the Guest of Honour.
Sanskrit Academy organized a Lecture Programme on ‘Vyasa Vaibhavam” on 22.07.2013 by Dr. V. Samudrala Venkata Rangaramanujacharya, JIVA, Hyd. He described about the importance of great poet Vyasa and the purpose of his birth. He further elucidated the epic of Mahabharata and its relevance in the present society written by Vyasa.
Dr. K. Aravinda Rao, IAS, DGP (Retd.) was the Chief Guest and Acharya B. Narasimhacharyulu, Former Director, Sanskrit Academy attended as Guest of Honour.
Sanskrit Academy conducted a lecture programme on “Adhyatmavidya Vidyanam” by Sri N. Purushottama Sharma, Sanskrit Lecturer (Retd,), Vemulawada on the occasion of Sravana Poornima on 14.08.2013 at 4:00pm. He described the utmost importance of spiritual education. He stressed that the present society is in dire need of ‘Ashtadasa vidya’. Lacking this spiritual education, driving the society restlessness, terrorism and other crucial forms. The society needs spiritual education in line with regular education to overcome the cruelty.
Sri K. Sudhakara Rao, Asst. Director (News), Doordarshan, Hyd, was attended as Chief Guest while Prof. M. Vijayasree, Head, Dept of Sanskrit, OU presided over the programme.
Sanskrit Academy organized a Lecture on “Samskruta Bashayah Vyavaharikatvam” by Dr. V. A. Kumara Swamy, Retd. Principal, Kendriya Vidyalayam on the occasion of Sanskrit Day Celebration in the month of sravana on 22-08-2013 describing on the importance of usage of Sanskrit in the society. He elucidated in his lecture that the Sanskrit scholars must focus more on discovering new Sanskrit words and its usage. In this programme Acharya Bheemsen Sharma, Retd. HOD, OU who attended as Chief Guest explained the importance of Sanskrit learning . The God’s language will give to human kind mental peace, developing intelligence and wisdom.

Sanskrit Academy conducted a Lecture Programme on ““Telangana Sanskrit Literature” (तेलङ्गाणा-संस्कृतसाहित्यम्) ” by Sri K. Jitendra Babu, Director, Deccan Archeological Research Institution, Hyderabad on 28th January, 2015 at 4:30 PM at its premises.
In this programme Sri N. Mukteshwar Rao, IAS, President, Samskruta Bharati attended as Chief guest. Speaking on this occasion Sri K. Jitendra Babu highlighted the importance of Telangana culture and its invaluable resources lying unexcavate. He stressed the need to unveil the Sanskrit literature, manuscripts. Even during the period of Kakatiya regim, Rachakonda Velama rajula regim, in the area of Devarakonda lot of Sanskrit literature, Art and culture of the Telangana were abundant. Further he discovered that there is Vishnu kundali shasanas on the auspicious Narasimha Swamy konda at Chaitanyapuri, Hyderabad. Keeping in view the priceless telangana resources he requested the Government of Telangana to preserve the ancient sculptures, manuscripts by encouraging in depth research and establish Sanskrit university.
Sanskrit Academy organized a lecture programme on “Dashamahavidyalu” by Sri K. Sudhakar, Asst. Director (News), Dooradarshan, Hyderabad on 06th February, 2015 in the Academy. Speaking on this occasion Sri K. Sudhakar highlighted the importance of Dashsamahavidaya and he elucidated in his lecture that the Sanskrit scholars must focus more on indepth knowledge of dashamahavidya and its upasanas.
