Dear Dean,

I am pleased to inform you that the UGC,SERO, is inviting proposals under the following schemes from the colleges which are included under section 2(f) & 12(B) of UGC Act and has not received any allocation during the X Plan period. The application and guidelines are available in UGC Website "www.ugc.ac.in".

Proposals are invited under the scheme of College Development Programme for (both UG & PG) from those colleges, which  are not allocated the Development Grant during teh X plan but now fulfilling the terms and conditions as laid down in the guidelines.

Proposals are invited from the left out colleges, which have not been allocated earlier under the special schemes of "Assistance for the Colleges Located in the Educationally Backward Districts " A copy of the list of Educationally backward districts is enclosed.

Above proposals may send to this office before 20 th Jan 2005 so as to place before the experts committee in the month of January last week . The Principals who applied under the scheme are also likely to called fir the  discussion with the experts committee meeting. The dates of the meeting would be informed later on.

Since the X Plan period is coming to an end by next financial year, you may direct all the colleges under your jurisdiction to submit the Audited Utlization Certificate and Statement of Expenditure duly signed by the Chartered Accountant for the grants already released from this office under the scheme of X plan College Development Programme (both UG & PG ) at the earliest to this  office , so as to release the balance grant if any to the  college

The  proposal  for the above schemes (S.No.1 & 2) should reach this office on or before 14-01-2006. Further a list of Educationally  backward districts is also enclosed herewith.
