Sub:            Lok Sabha Parliament Question Assurance given in reply regarding grants paid by

                    the UGC to Colleges during the last five year

Sir,

I am directed to enclose herewith a copy of the letter received from Ministry of HRD on the above subject and to request you to submit the following information.

1.   The name of colleges to which UGC grants have been released

                    during  each of the last five years i.e. 1998-99 to 2002-03 college-wise.

2.   Whether grants have been utilized during the said period and

3.   if not. The reasons therefore.

The University may bring this to the notice of all the Colleges affiliated to them and forward the reply received from the colleges by 15.10.2005  for onward transmission to the Ministry of HRD, New Delhi.
