The University firman attached equal importance to both Arts and Sciences. The departments of Astronomy, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics were started initially. Since then, there has been a steady growth both in the number of Departments and activities. Today the Science Faculty comprises of 13 (thirteen) Departments, many of which have earned International acclaim.

The Thirteen Departments are:
